Newbie FAQ: Squidoo Coop Payouts

I am getting LOTS of questions about making money on Squidoo.

The first thing that is often misunderstood is the Coop Ad payouts Squidoo gives.

No, you don’t split adsense or ad revenues 50-50 with Squidoo on your lens only.

ALL that money goes into a pool.

The payout is approximately half to lensmasters.

The non-profits that lensmasters support get their payout, according to the lenrank tier of the donating Squidoo page.

Then, there are two tiers of payouts.

The top tier is from 1 to 1999, which gets the highest coop payout from the ad revenues.  This has now reached about $8 + per page.

The second tier is from 2000 to 10,000 which gets the next highest share. This is $1 + per page.

The last tier gets very little in payout, from .01 to .05 per month.

Wip lenses get .0

So, be sure you have added enough content in order to move out of wip and into lensrank.  Then, do your best to promote your lens and participate in community to move up in lensrank.

While it is nice to receive the coop payouts from your pages, understand that the competition is VERY GREAT, and getting worse, to be in the top 10,000 pages!  You will do much better anyway by working on bringing sales to your pages, either through the money making modules or through affiliate sales.
